Pesto pasta:)

I am a fan of noodles and company pesto cavatappi pasta. I dine in there atleast once in two weeks just to satisfy my irresistible craving for this pesto flavor. I decided to make this pesto pasta at home. All i tried was to bring the same taste as that of noodles and co. i did not have cavatappi at home. so i made the pesto pasta with Rotini pasta variety. It came out really good and the taste was just awesome:)


Rotini pasta 3 cup (coojed as per instructions on the pack)
Fresh basil leaves 1cup firmly packed
yogurt 1/4cup
lime juice 1tbsp
garlic 2pods
grated Parmesan cheese 1/2cup
walnuts a handful
Roma tomato 1 big chopped
zucchini 1/4cup chopped
mushrooms 5 no chopped
Black pepper 1tsp
Salt to taste
Olive oil 3tbsp


  • Cook rotini pasta according to package instructions withh little salt.
  • Blend basil leaves, garlic pods, lemon juice, yoghurt, parmesan cheese, black pepper, walnuts into a coarse mixture.
  • Heat olive oil in a pan and fry tomatoes, zucchini and mushrooms in it. Add cooked pasta along with the blended pesto mixture and salt to taste.
  • Heat through and sprinkle some black pepper and grated parmesan before serving.
