Coconut shrimp masala



Ingredients

Shrimp peeled & deveined 1lb
chopped onion 1-1/2cup
ginger garlic paste 1tbsp
chopped tomato 1 no
Red chilli 2
mustard 1tsp
fennel seeds 1tsp
garam masala 1tbsp
Red chilli powder 1tbsp
Coriander powder 1tbsp
turmeric powder 1tsp
Grated coconut 3tbsp
curry leaves few
olive oil 2tbsp
salt to taste

Method

  • Heat olive oil in a pan and throw in some mustard seeds and fennel seeds and fry till you get a nice aroma. Saute chopped onions well. all the raw smell should go off and it has to become slight brown in color.
  • Add ginger garlic paste and fry for few minutes. Add the raw tomatoes, curry leaves, red chillies and saute till it gets cooked well.
  • Add garam masala powder, coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder to it.
  • add cleaned and washed shrimp along with required salt. Do not add water as the shrimp will leave some water while cooking.
  • Cook well for about ten minutes. Finally, add some grated coconut and saute well.
  • Serve it with rasam rice or curd rice:)
